Orbit has been around a long time. If you've ever seen a sprinkler watering a lawn, it's either a Rainbird or an Orbit.

I have their smart irrigation controller, and it's the most reliable smart product I have in my home. Better connectivity and uptime than my Ring and TP-link smart devices.

Can't say anything about this specific product but I'm a fan of the brand.

Wirecutter reviewed these and didn't like them, fwiw. Very quiet alarms, no smart home integration, and can only be silenced by squeezing the actual device. Up to you to decide if those are deal breakers!

I have been using them (company) for about 2 months for watering some new trees with drip hoses. It was a bit rocky getting the devices linked and it delinked one time since then, but overall not too bad. I guess it is YMMV given house size and material type.

I see the first challenge with these are they may not link well outside of their app. I see some discussion on the forums for my automation system, but it seems like more trouble than it is worth. https://community.hubitat.com/t/o.../40906/148
The second challenge is the faucet controller went up in price by 100% from when I originally purchased it and in some cases could not even be found. Followed by it seems like there are few products that connect to these hubs and these are not compatible with the v1 hub.

The coupon seems to be for 60% off, instead of $60.

It discounted the $189 8 pack to $75.98 in my cart.

Thanks for posting this. I'm also using Hubitat and I need whatever system to be 100% compatible with it..

If I have the B-Hyve sprinkler wifi controller, will these work with that same system and app?

About the OP
Swimmerdude7777

I guess OP prefers swimming pools over flood waters.

As others have noted, this coupon is 60% off any order, by the way.

Orbit's return policy, fyi...

"Orbit's Return Policy
For products purchased directly from Orbit's store (orbitonline.com), Orbit will refund the purchase price of any item returned in new, unused condition within 30 days of ship date. To qualify for a refund, a return must be submitted on Orbit's Return Center."

So looks like can't actually test it out, first??

For about $7 per sensor from a reputable company with a decent app, I don't see an alternative which comes close to this price point.

Things to note:
• Economical price
• Decent app design - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8MKw0egN-I
• Compact sensor design
• Reputable company
• Gen 2 hub (not Gen 1)
• Users' note - short range / connectivity (not verified on good network)

Below is an example price breakdown:
71003
Orbit B-hyve Gen 2 Wi-Fi Hub (21008) $19
Orbit B-hyve Flood Sensors (x3) $7
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Total $40

71008
Orbit B-hyve Gen 2 Wi-Fi Hub (21008) $20
Orbit B-hyve Flood Sensors (x8) $7
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Total $76

i was considering getting the 3-pack then decided on the 8-pack for $36 more which comes out to $7.60 per sensor.
