I used to get this offer through Bank of America and it was worded the same way. But I would just walk into the AT&T store, ask them to load $40 on my prepaid account and I still always got the credit.

As others have mentioned, make sure you purchase only ONE item worth 37.50 or more each time. Otherwise AT&T might charge items separately and you don't get the deal. I got screwed that way.

I finally got a spend $25 two times, I can get $50 back. This time I bought one airtag each time and the deal went through! Had it on two credit cards so I got 4 airtags essentially at $5 each.

I don't see this current deal on my chase card likely because I already redeemed the last one. Usually you don't get it twice.

Edit: I just looked at the same offer on a different card. I tried copying and pasting, but I couldn't. If they split the transaction and only give the credit to the first thing that billed, they say you need to call the number on the back of your card to get it fixed.
