Got this from bestbuy 3months ago in silver color , only 10 mts plug in to usb c macbook and it gets really hot can't even touch it. immediately remove it, and put in the drawer never look back.

Got this from Amazon a few months ago. Gets super hot and is super slow. Not worth it.

These typically have poor write performance and read performance is generally slower than most SSD.

I would wait till the Deck is out to see what types of drives people have tested.

As long as the computer OS allows booting off of USB, yes, it will work. Won't be as fast as an ssd and will perform poorly if the OS is doing a lot of writes (these drives have slow write performance).

Similar experience, opted for the ultra, thing gets extremely hot when in short use. Decided to keep it though, still cheap
