Fair enough, I appreciate your comment. Smilie

I checked prices on the COTW crayons. Office Depot/Max's price is 45% lower than the next-lowest price I found at a reputable retailer with pricing starting at $1.37 and up.

Why is it cringe worthy? Should all people be drawn as brown or peach?

Are these comments for real? As a teacher all my kids love these no matter their skin tone. They are happy to have the opportunity to "match" their tone. Much positive peer discussion and collaboration ensues making my teacher heart happy. Bonus is I don't have to look at yellow crayon faces. Why is this an issue for some? (I'm truly stumped.... please enlighten if I'm missing something!) To me this isn't "activism" or "woke" it's no different than shades of blue for the sky or ocean.

These flesh colored packs of Crayola have been out for a long time, way before the word "woke" happened. It is annoying coloring in characters where the only options are basic brown or a pinkish tan.

If you don't have an Office Max, Dollar Tree sells these for $1.

Thank you. There was no intended "activism" in my post, just a slick deal.
