I don't vehemently hate the second like the maniacs do, but I didn't enjoy the storyline at all. I guess as a result of that, I was dragging myself to get through it, which felt way, way too long. The cycle of gameplay really wore thin for me by the end.
I get what they were trying to do, but it just didn't work for me. YYMV

if you have a PS4 good deal, if you have a PS5 and haven't played the game yet imo better just to wait.

One example from the first game is Was Joel really "right"? Some people have an idea of what's right and wrong... and the story should make you think. It's great imo. I wasn't a huge fan of the twists, but I will admit that once it got to a certain point I couldn't put the game down. I had to finish the remaining 6hr or something. My friend was in the same boat.
I didn't even fully enjoy the game myself, but the extreme vocal minority that pretty much want this series and game to fail come off as obnoxious (not a surprise when talking about average online Gamer though). Move on and talk about/play something you actually DO like.

I just replayed TLOU 1 + Left Behind DLC and will replay this one next month (now starting Miles Morales). TLOU 2 was great and I look forward to play it again.
People get mad for a game. Who cares. If we start getting mad for every movie story line, we wouldn't do anything.
This is about entertainment and this game is good at it.
Gonna get down voted for this. Who cares.
