It's not. I don't understand the point of this product either. It's actually worse than the C1 (same screen size and refresh rate - probably same panel, FreeSync instead of GSync, worse warranty, no TV tuner, etc.)

Both Newegg and Gigabyte have terrible customer service with a history of screwing customers. Buying something large and expensive from them is risky because if you have issues you're probably in for a world of headache.

However, this message has popped when I've used it for less than an hour on a couple of occasions. It's annoying and there's no way to disable this safety feature.

The LG OLEDs are Freesync only as well- they are "G-Sync" as in they will work with Freesync, same as this display- there is no G-Sync module in either model.

I am concerned about burn in on OLEDs as well. Someone who purchased this on Newegg commented that they got burn in from the Windows taskbar in just a week.

It's literally the same panel as the LG TV- but with less features (but more USB ports I guess...)

G-sync is explicitly supported in the newer LG OLEDS and certified to do so by Nvidia... but not this "monitor"

(note you do need a newer Nvidia card for Gsync to work- but it absolutely does- have used it myself on my 3090 and 55" CX)

Agreed, I would buy the LG OLED TV over this Gigabyte. The Gigabyte 43" version has a VA panel.

When the C9s were released, I screamed "HALLELUJAH!" for G-Sync support. From that point (two or three years ago??) , I thought LG footed-the-bill to include a formal G-Sync chip.

In researching this just now, after Wagg's comments, it turns out to be just generic support for VRR, which is "G-Sync compatible".

It's marketing- it's been "certified", meaning tested to work with Nvidia, but non-certified adaptive sync displays like this one should work just fine.

I'll wait for the 42" models to be released before I decide.
