This is incorrect and covered in OPs description. Motorola offers instructions on how to open the 2nd ethernet port for LAG.

NOTE: The MB8600 supports LAG on Ports 1 & 2 only, for speeds up to about two Gigabits per second.

Granted I would appreciate fiber as well but most people are at the mercy of the ISP running fiber to their neighborhood first. You are acting like everyone has that as an option but unfortunately most don't.
Depends what ISP speeds you get. The 6141 is rated for 343/131 and I'd leave a bit of a buffer so a bit below that. If it's working and below that there's no reason to upgrade.

Would this be a big upgrade from a Motorola SB6141?

Paid $170 back in Feb 2018 when I upgraded to gigabit with Comcast. Been rock solid. Had to reboot it maybe three times total and that was due to widespread outages that needed to re-handshake when things came back up.

For what its worth Microcenter has had it at that price for a while now so I don't think in their case this will end today or anything.

This only has a single gigabit port so that means you can go above a single gigabit speed

Thanks for clarifying, there is not a single pic or anything in the product link at Amazon that mentioned this. I have the Arris 8200 currently and it works in a similar way but leaves the port open rather than cover it up

I am currently looking for a multi Gig Modem. Considering options between 'Motorola MB8611', 'Nighthawk CM2000' and 'Arris S33'. Appreciate your suggestions. TIA.
