Great deal, although these regularly go down to $200 so the discount isn't as amazing as it seems. They're great lil units for adding some power to a campsite, but if you're going to use these for a home or rv, you should be eyeing the larger 2000w class generators.

Can run a Midea U for 6 hours for $2 in gas. Didn't these use to be $99 at harbor freight?

I'm guessing no, but could this power a sump pump only in an emergency?

This one has a built-in inverter versus the regular generator that harbor freight sells. Translation: Don't use the harbor freight one for sensitive electronics

Anybody know how queit this model is? I read 48 to 60 db is a general range for inverter units. The description on this one says 57. I want one that is truely quiet.

I tried running a proflo sump pump here https://www.sumppumpsdirect.com/P...15114.html . At startup the overload light was on but ran continuously without issue for 20 minutes. After a few hours testing it eventually cut this generator off with the overload when the pump starts up again. Compare your sump amp draw to the one I listed. I will test it again on the next heavy rain, but don't think I can rely on it with my current sump. I will also test a small 1/3 hp utility pump that has a garden hose connection.

Close call depending on the HP, personally I would not want to rely on it in an emergency. You may want to consider something like the Basement Watchdog for sump pump only. Will also protect you if just the pump goes belly up.

Had one for 6-mo. Bought at HD sale. It is very quiet, starts on first pull and was able to charge phone and run a cooling fan. Very good on gas, easy to carry around. No real smoke or strong exhaust smell from mine. I've ran it on Super tech synthetic 10w30 oil. First oil change was done after 2 hours of break in running. Was working great since then.

I can't say for sure, but a standard 1/3 horsepower pump translates to only 250 watts. So yes?

Give your cell phone a tablet a quick charge with the Sportsman 1000 Watt Inverter Generator.

Lol, what has the world come to? Imagine the look on the face of the employee that actually had to enter this description. If only there was a more portable technology that would allow us to charge up our phones on the go.

Air/Fuel mixture is the wrong ratio due to the lower oxygen levels at higher altitudes. It will likely run but not as well as at sea level.
