I'm so annoyed with the micro-usb charging port on the MX 2 that I'm thinking about paying $80 for almost the exact same mouse with USB C lol

First world problems...

You and me both, brother. Have had the MX2 for almost 3 years now. I'm thinking that I want to get the keyboard with this deal. But then I wonder how crazy would it make me over time to have one device with usb-c charging and one with micro-USB charging?

Yep, can pair with 3 devices... has a button on the bottom to select which one you want.

Yes.

Anyone every try gaming with one of these? My favorite mouse of all time is the Logitech g602. It fit my hand perfectly. Ever since the g602 I haven't been able to find a single "gaming" mouse that was as comfortable. It's to the point where I'm considering gaming with a non-gaming mouse.
Friend, yes. I actually am using a g602 writing this on my desktop, I use the MX for work, and have started switching to the MX for both. For me, the amazing scrollwheel more than makes up for losing a couple hard to find/use side buttons you'd give up from the 602. It just feels so nice, even stacked against what, previously, was the nicest mouse I've ever had (and I'm a gear junkie with a company credit card, I was buying like a mouse a month until I finally landed on this guy).

I use the 3 at work all day, every day. I literally can't recall the last time I charged it.

I plan on getting both but only one this time.. Which would you recommend starting with?

I am sure it depends where you are coming from, in my case old Dell office keyboard and Anker mouse that was dropping connection some. I bought mouse first because keyboard was still working fine. And I think using the mouse prompted getting the keys

FWIW, I did not like this mouse. My favorite mouse is the Logitech MX Master 2s and it can be had regularly for $60 (great deal = $50). A detailed comparison: https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tool...shold=0.10

Might not be. And if you do, consider a Logitech MX Master 2s over the 3. https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tool...shold=0.10

For what it's worth, as a 6' 2" guy with big hands, I've been using the MX for years. I got the MX 3 on a recent deal, and the main body of the mouse is narrower. My hand was cramping up within hours. Returned it and got the MX 2S for $50 and it's been as awesome as the original. Sadly I don't know what I'd do for a replacement after this.

Is this considered to be a vertical mouse? I can't tell for sure from the picture and didn't see it mentioned on the page. Also, since it is a Bluetooth mouse can I connect it via laptop's Bluetooth? Or I have to use the USB dongle? TIA.
