Definitely legit site, but shady practices I hear. Like no warranties.

Thanks for the advice on avoiding. Hard to imagine why lg wouldn't warranty if you registered a brand new product.

LG says to avoid- but then they don't actually put in the warranty that purchase from their 'approved' list is required.

So it's a scare tactic by LG to encourage you to pay more.

Warranty remains entirely valid per its own written terms.

This nonsense comes up on every LG thread that isn't like Best Buy or Costco sellers.

SOME OEMs do actually require, in the warranty terms, purchase from "authorized" dealers.

LG does not.

Yes, but regardless, I heard this is a total scam website. Forget warranty, will you actually get the TV?

IIRC these guys were selling through newegg for a good while back in 2019/2020 and folks got their TVs then. I suppose things could always have changed since... but if you don't get the TV you just report it to your credit card company and they reverse the charge.

Ultimately, YMMV. Seems pertinent to me, for potential buyers.

It's not, at all, YMMV.

LG is bound by the written warranty. Which is a legal document.

Which doesn't care, at all, if your dealer is "authorized" or not.

The only things that can "void" the US warranty by its own terms are:

Physical damage
It's not a US model sold new in the US.
The serial # has been defaced so as to be unreadable

That's it.

Assuming you're correct about a unit (not an assumption I'd make on a $2k purchase), that doesn't mean they'll never change the warranty in later manufactured units.

The fact they paid to host and write that they do not cover this store, on their website, would not give me warm fuzzy feelings about the future, hence YMMV.

And if you request service, it has a section for "proof of purchase"

https://imgur.com/UAMe8j3

So again, yes, it can change, so YMMV seems pretty accurate to me, assuming your information is correct today.

Not sure what this sentence is trying to say.

You can read the warranty yourself at any store that sells the TV.

No assuming needed.

Folks have been repeated FUD nonsense like this for at least 5 years on here.

LG keeps not changing the warranty though.

Weird huh?

Except, it doesn't vary.

The website has had that language for YEARS and the warranty continues to NOT exclude any vendors years later.

The only thing that varies is how many posts we ever get into an LG TV thread before someone, incorrectly, casts doubt on if you have warranty coverage.

Yes, it does.

You have to prove you didn't not steal it obviously- or buy it used, or from outside of the US.

All things the actual warranty would not cover.

Know what the warranty DOES cover?

Any purchase of a new US model from a US seller. Regardless of if the seller is "authorized" or not.

You can tell by reading the actual warranty

Maybe give that a try?
