I actually feel like I didn't see much homelessness in downtown/tourist areas compared to seattle

And in that time frame, you had better hope the storm gets named so you can still cancel whatever plans you make. That's just the Caribbean norm, especially in recent years.

I was stranded in DFW with kids because they had mechanical issues & no seats on the next day's flights. Lucky to get standby on a flight, but it was an "adventure."
