These have really dropped in quality. Plastic super thin, clip mechanisms pinches curious fingers, straps are easily adjustable by a toddler, and mine had rather uneven ropes.

back when i had 2 cats i used something like this as a DIY hung indoor play item - i found it in a recycle pile, so nearly this price... cats would jump in and out of it, swatting at each other, even napping in it, etc. some cats are timid around unstable surfaces, so your results may vary. this is why people who buy those $300 cat wheels, are often disappointed when their cats won't get on it or use it.
