First post, going to keep it short and sweet. I'm sure I'll make a mistake but here goes: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim SE is on sale 50% off in the Nintendo E-Store! This is the base game w/ the 3 DLC's Dawnguard, Hearthstone, and Dragonborn all for $29.99 BE AWARE: this version does NOT support mods! okay, enjoy!

Standard sale price for this. Not sure why you mentioned lack of mod support though. Kind of stating the obvious given the platform. If you want mods in your games PC is the best bet.

Mods on other consoles. So maybe someone might want to know or not.

I mentioned the lack of Mod support because when I originally did some research to decide on whether or not to buy awhile back - I found that when someone asked the question "Is it worth it on the Switch?" A fair amount of people responded in a negative way and complained about the lack of modding. As obvious as it is, I still expected a few to reply the same way on S.D. I've noticed there seems to be a few people that will always find something negative to focus on and absolutely must reply. They just can't help themselves.
Sure it is worth it on Switch. It actually runs better on the Switch then it ever did on the 360/ps3 thats for certain. Weather or not this classic 10 year old game is worth $30 is debatable. This has to be one of the ultimate cash cow games ever made.

As someone who has owned Skyrim on PC for several years, I just do not understand how people think that paying $30 (on discount, no less!) for a nearly 10 year old game that is missing what I'd call essential mod support is anything near a good deal.
In my view, the Switch version is massively inferior.

The only way to mod the Nintendo Switch version of ES5 is to use LayeredFS. That's an extensive process and requires a hacked switch.
Absolutely not a deal. Nobody is playing this without console commands and mods. The game has many errors that could leave your save broken. I wouldnt go without them.

Well, we are talking a Nintendo platform here. As a general rule Nintendo likes to put a hard limit on what kind of content you can get for free in their ecosystem. So yeah, you are not going to get mods here. The closest you may get to it might be something like projects that people create in Game Builder Garage or levels in Super Mario Maker. If people know what mods are but don't know that then I don't know what to say. It's like when you see those advertisements on TV for various drugs where they state "don't take X if you are allergic to X or it's ingredients". And I'm like, seriously?? No way!! I mean what is the point of them even making such a statement? If someone has to be explicitly told not to take something that they are allergic to then they are clueless and maybe natural selection should just be allowed to take its course and do whatever it will. Sorry, but I guess you can call it a pet peeve that too often we fall into such practices that I see as senseless and have to smh at and regard with incredulity. If that makes me a parade-raining negative Nancy then so be it.
