Are these any good nowadays? I bought a pack a few years ago of the old white label/yellow lettering ones and like half of them were total crap. A few exploded while charging within the first 8 months, some leaked, and they were very unreliable as far as power capacity between each battery.

these are no good. If you're near an ikea. Get those. Yes they cost more but in the long run it'll pay for itself and some.

Oh IDK. I haven't had that problem. I get them from time to time and they gradually disappear in kids toys or camping equipment. I've never seen one explode or leak, and I've only seen corrosion in a headlamp that had a bad seal.

Don't know about the deal with the "S&S" (no idea what that is about Frown Also, unless $25+ or Prime, add a few bucks to the price.

As for the batteries, I bought these a year or 2 ago and they seem to work well. I rotate them thru my bike headlamp, temperature displays and remotes and no failures (yet Smilie

Mine didn't leak or explode either but my Sanyo charger that came with my envelops won't allow these to charge.
