I've installed thousands of these drives, they are not rebadged SanDisk drives. They are standard fare Chinese SSDs with Phison controllers.

"The Inland brand is owned by the parent company of American retailer Micro Center. Most or all Inland-branded SSDs are simply Phison reference designs with little or no customization beyond cosmetics. Inland SSDs are frequently great value options—especially for Micro Center's in-store only deals, but even their online prices tend to be very competitive. Part of the discount comes from their tendency toward shorter warranty periods: the Inland Performance Plus has only a three year warranty despite being a high-end flagship model."

Make sure to reserve online for pick up to avoid any waiting drama. And please guys, don't abuse the system. The availability is limited. Each store barely has about 20-40 units. Don't be greedy and let everyone to get on this deal. But I realize we are on SD, one can only hope lol

There was a Micro Center in Santa Clara that closed in 2012 or so because of that expensive real estate. I lived in Sunnyvale briefly way back and went there a bunch of times. I think its a Walmart now.

I have to return something to Micro Center this week or next but I'm not sure what I'd do with a 240GB. Hopefully Google Voice numbers work.

I mean its not Best Buy but most major cities have a Micro Center -- NY, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit, Philly, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, etc. They're mostly lacking in the desert SW and the Pacific NW... and maybe Florida.
