Really wishing it was open to all books, maybe I could have offloaded some of the credits I am sitting on

If anyone has not listened to Expeditionary Force, give it a try, I have yet to find someone who did not love it. I was on the fence for the first half because it seemed like the typical grunts in space book... until the beer can. Then it shined. The subsequent books in the series are great as well though the last two seem to have lost some of the magic. Still good, just not as entertaining as the first 8 to 10 books

I have my popcorn scifi series. I still look forward to a new Undying Mercenaries or Expeditionary force. They're fun and written well. I used to enjoy the Star Force series too but the author moved on, because I think he was running out of new content for the series.
Expeditionary force is pretty good. It's also on this sale.

A lot of good scifi and fantasy in this list.

There are two Shannara series books.
1 R. A. Salvatore book in the Legend of Drizzt series
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) is here as well.
Red Rising is on sale.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo as well as it's sequel which are a new Netflix series.
Expeditionary Force
Starsight by Brandon Sanderson Book 2 in Skyward series.
Blood Song by Anthony Ryan
The Dwarves by Markus Heitz (fun series but different. also suffers a little from translation)
Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is on sale.

Always check Libby and Hoopla to make sure books you're interested in aren't offered for free!
Interesting apps. Wonder how this works

Weak offering. Also, their list contains a number of duplicate listings, which is just sloppy.

My wife doesn't know it, but she HATES it when a new Expeditionary Force is released. I'm basically unavailable to talk for a day or two. On flip side, the kitchen is cleaned, the floor vacuumed, etc (all with headphones in). So there's that.
If you like those and you're a little bit of geek that knows references from the 80's until now, I can wholeheartedly recommend "We are Leion, We are Bob". It's an absolutely amazing series and funny as hell. It has world building, aliens, and a post apocalyptic human story. It's part of the sale too.

The Red Rising trilogy was amazing. I think the story fell off quite a bit when he decided to make it more than a trilogy but I'm sure he was offered a bunch of money to continue writing them. It's a little like the story of the hunger games but on a killing, viciousness, and conniving on steroids. It even has it's own GOT red wedding. If I rescue a mangy mutt from the pound I'm calling him Sevro.

Both work through your local library. Libby is the app replacing Overdrive.

Both have a wide variety of music, movies, shows, books,, and yes, audio books.

Libby has a wider catalog, but Hoopla is great for comics.

Both are free, but like I said you need a library card.

Reminds me of all those super cheap Xbox games that eventually became free a couple weeks later. These select deals suck. They solely benefit the seller.

Too late. Listened to that series when it came out.

Agree fully. It was one of those that seemed to always "get good" right as I was rolling into the parking lot at work or my garage at night. Spent WAY too much time listening to that outside of my normal commute hours as well.

And since you mentioned it in the post after: Red Rising was much the same.

I've listened to a LOT in that genre/niche.

LOL on Sevro. I think you and I share very similar tastes. I really liked the RR trilogy and have the rest of the books but haven't gotten to them yet.

Just FYI, the delivery of the $5 credits has been pushed back to August 3rd. I contacted Audible support today about it, and was told delivery is delayed due to "technical" issues.
