all resistivity heaters have almost the same efficiency, which is nearly 100%.

I have an AM05 and AM09. Both Dyson refurbs from ebay. I have had the AM05 for nearly 10 years and the AM09 for about 4 or 5 years. Love both. I have had to open both to clean the internals with an air compressor and both are still running strong. They're not as complicated as they look and you can find guides online for disassembly. I waited 6 years before cleaning the AM05 for the first time and it smelled like burning dust every time I turned it on until I finally took it apart and cleaned the lower and upper sections. If yours stops blowing hot or is blowing slow, it will most likely be dust build up and a good cleaning will bring it back to working like new.

Got 2 of these refurbished from Dyson on eBay a while back, 1 looked brand new the other very beat up.

Got one a while back turned out to have malfunctioned blade unit. Returned and got another one, no problem so far.

Ordered one a while back, came in and smelled like smoke and didn't heat. Dyson immediately allowed return as there were no more units in stock when I requested the return. Going to pick up 2 this time and hopefully one will be good. No questions asked on the return either so nothing lost if they come in broken again.

This fan is basically silent at lower operating speeds and it's perfect for my WFH setup as it giant make any background noise when on the phone with clients.

I had one and it lasted like 5 years? Worked super well and survived single digit winters.

It's $169 + shipping refurbished on Walmart.com, doesn't seem like a great deal if it's $10 cheaper.

This thing is rather short. Only 60 cm (23.4") tall. Doesn't sound like this would do a good job keeping your body cool. Maybe just your feet and ankles.
