I've never used GrubHub before or even created a GrubHub account and I'd rather not install the app and create an account if shiny new customers don't even qualify.

They porked me on an order and I cannot remember the specifics. I think it had something to do with cancelling an order about an hour or so after making it leaving us with little to no other options (we eat late).
The response I got from customer service was basically, "sorry, nothing we can do for you". Almost every other company would offer a token credit of some sort. Nope, not GrubHub. It wasn't so much the cancelation of the order, as shit happens, but it was the arrogance and attitude of more than one customer service agent that did it for me. There are many food delivery services, so I took my business elsewhere.
DoorDash has always been extra helpful when something goes wrong, and their premium service is free for Chase card holders so that is a no-brainer for us.
Lately more and more local restaurants have been arranging delivery on their own, which I absolutely try to take advantage of. No inflated prices and all the profits go to the restaurant, not the middle man.
Any GrubHub drivers here care to comment on their costs and how much they clear doing this?
I don't know about GrubHub, but Uber Eats offers periodic 30-to-50-percent-off promo codes that makes it a matter of economic indifference whether you order delivery, takeout, or eat inside. I signed up for this GrubHub deal and will keep an eye out for any emails from them.
To the original poster: Thanks and repped!
Shareholders: Why haven't we seen any membership growth during the pandemic? Sure it's not the membership fee, service fee, hidden fees, delivery fee, and the tip for the driver that turns a 12 dollar meal into 30?
Management: ...I just thought of a great way to increase numbers!
