Ugh so tempted must resist for Black Friday deals. Best thing is about this deal is the warranty covers burn in so it's a alternative to Best Buy.

It's not a very good warranty. Pray you have an authorized Sony repair person close, or they'll just refund you for the amount of the warranty and that's it

Any more info or experience with the warranty? I'm in a major metro area so I'm sure there's an "authorized Sony repair person" nearby, but no idea what it's like working with CPS to actually cover stuff.

I don't have any firsthand knowledge. But their reviews online aren't very good. And about a month or so ago, I saw someone online who had the issue I mentioned above, where they couldn't find an authorized repair person. Since you have a repair person nearby, hopefully CPS wouldn't give you the runaround

Yeah I'm in NJ and already had a tech come to my place to repair a dead power supply on my Sony X930d so I'm assuming there is a authorized tech in my area although that was about 3 years ago something may have changed.

It was directly through Sony the power supply was covered on a extended warranty due to a fault.
