Fallout 76 is better now but it is plagued with advertisements for the premium subscription service, even though everyone had to buy the game. Players who actually bought and kept the game (rather than return a poor product) were slapped in the face with needing to also buy a subscription to get basic features like player shops and more storage they needed.
Fallout 76 was said at launch that a year after it's release, an offline edition would be released. Never happened and instead Bethesda double dipped on money. You have to pay premium sub just to get private rooms with friends (which is a free feature on Grand Theft Auto V's Online mode so kudos to Rockstar).
It seems unlike Square Enix, who sells their collector's edition leftovers as part of their member points on their official store, Bethesda simply dumped their extra inventory on retailers. There are probably TJ Maxx, Marshals, Savers, and Goodwills filled with Fallout 76 collector's edition tat such as this. Honestly, my Fallout 76 box looks pathetic next to the Fallout 3, 4, and Fallout New Vegas boxes. I recommend keeping it them way if you have them as a reminder of how terrible the Fallout 76 experience was and continues to be.
