Fairly "meh" selection
After the Fuel was available for under $80 in the last year, it would be hard to ever consider the brushed model
That being said, the ease of use of cordless and one handed is worth the switch to me. I don't have experience with the fuel-less version but I highly recommend holding out for a sale on the m18 fuel one.
This one will surely get you though basic cutting if that's all you need it for, but if you ever need to put it to the test, you'd be glad you held out for the brushless motor, especially on a tool that's usually gets put to hard use and beat up for a lengthy period of time depending on the project.
