Wish they could just discount the camera instead of bundling it with a bunch of junk

FYI body isn't stabilized.

X-S10 does have ibis and same sensor for not much more but is pasm style instead of the analog style dials like this one. So better camera spec wise but may not be as fun to use, depending on preferences.

FYI the "x-t30 ii" is supposedly being announced on September 2. You may want to wait to see what's new, though I expect it'll be a fairly minor update. E.g., if they were putting ibis in, they probably would've named it the x-t40.

Also, FYI, Fujifilm is set to announce new cameras/lenses on Sep 2--including a possible X-T30 Mk II.

what? That makes no sense, they usually follow up the X-Tx model with the same generation X-Txx, so this should be an X-T40 if they stick with past naming conventions.

I never felt the X-T10 or 20 really needed stabilizing, they were very light weight and worked well in most lighting, without being pushed too high in the ISO range. Maybe for video this would be an issue. But you could always use a gimbal for that.

Adding IBIS might cannibalize X-T4. Nobody know for sure until it is announced

There's usually enough of a difference that people will know which feature set they need. Besides, maybe they make it 3 axis IBIS instead of 5.

Rumors are it will be a modest upgrade, not warranting a whole new name.

Originally priced $600 camera that was inflated to $900, then reduced to $800 so it can be called a 'deal.' But wow, $20 accessory pack which few need now included! So hot. /s

....
by your standard, MFT or smaller should never even need IBIS.
the fact is, IBIS is very necessary regardless of the body size and weight.

Bought this when it was introduced a few years ago. This has been a great travel camera. I used it for great travel photos and recently dabbled in video paired with a small gimbal. Can't go wrong with this if you are starting to get into photo and video. If you are only interested in video you might want to look into Canon and Sony small form factor cameras though.
