Seems to come for $60 every few months from Costco. It was this price early July as well:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15141154-cyberpower-le850g-ups-battery-backup-with-surge-protection-59-99

I got one and it works fine. Not a sine wave output but fine for consumer electronics. Battery replaceable. Not tested AVR but does make an audible buzz when on battery. Alarm can be silenced in software or button (on demand or generally).

One thing to consider is that this has a very low power factor (0.54), which means that you can run a lot of smaller devices for a long time but you cannot really plug in something too high powered like a server or gaming PC or even 2 of the newer gen game systems actually gaming at the same time.

But for this price (especially on sale), that's not bad. Plus I called call Costco and asked about how the warranty is handled it is through Costco so if it blows in less than 3 years, you can exchange it at Costco and don't have to deal with shipping the unit back to CyberPower.
I stand corrected. I went to the product page to learn about it and look for reviews but ignored Best Buy. That said, I typically do not look at Best Buy reviews because you get stuff like this:

"It's nice and heavy and seems very well-made." Yeah, a lead battery inside, thanks.

Still weird that a search of the predominant platforms for buying and reviewing don't have a single hit on "CyberPower LE850G review". In any case, given that MSRP is $65, a $60 deal is not too "Slick" (no offense meant OP). The free shipping is a bonus though so credit for that.
Lasting two years is "great"? Those are some incredibly low expectations

I wonder if it is cheaper in the store rather than online.

Not familiar with Costco returns, but perhaps exchange/return it.
Or replace the battery.
Replacement Battery 1 x RB1270B
An off brand battery would be cheaper.

MSRP on the CyberPower page is $65.10 and there are NO reviews on this anywhere (Youtube, Amazon, etc.). Usually, you can find at least a few.

There's also over 800 reviews on the Costco product page. Seems like a decent deal and product for what it is. The replacement batteries aren't too expensive and you can't beat the Costco return policy. I'm currently debating with myself over whether I actually need it.

if i use the costco visa card it's supposed to add 2 years to the original warranty (as long as it's under 3). would apply for these as well or excluded?

This or an APC unit around the same price like this one?

I know this one is a bit cheaper with more wattage but which brand is better?

As expected at this price point this is not pure sine wave. I have not had any issues with another not pure sine wave ups powering my computer and nvr camera system though.

The product comes with a 3 year warranty, plus you could theoretically return the item to Costco at any point in the future, because, as far as I'm aware, it's not one of the excluded electronics items, like a TV, computer, major appliance, etc.

FWIW, UPS are one of the few items where weight does matter. Batter and coils are heavy. There are car amp and speaker manufacturers that add weights to garbage to make them feel hefty but in this instance it makes no sense - you actually WANT lead and copper!
