Get it at the sale price directly from Facebook! Ordered Portal Plus from Amazon when it was $99 and installed it at my parents. Pleasantly surprised! Audio is great, screen quality too. Zoom and Messenger video was a great experience and web browsing and Spotify setup too. Bought another 3, one for myself and gifting two to my kids Montessori school for zoom calls. I distrust Facebook like everyone else and actually stopped using Social media, but this is a great hardware device.

This video is a great example for my use case:

$100 to allow Zuck to probe your bowel? And not even get a reach-around? FB should pay $100 to the user of this product, not the other way around. But that would give the game away eh.
Probe your bowel? Dude, I think you use computers differently than the rest of us.

I dont even want to do that. I have one already but dont even log in to FB on it. Logged in via WhatsApp which doesnt escape their grip entirely but is better than selling out your soul across the board
So why buy it at all if you are going to be so paranoid?

We like the fb products. Our entire family uses the portal tv (the one you plug into tv). Similar price. For birthdays/Christmas we have bought these for close friends and they are also happy with them.

I was aware of this product for years but never realized how good having it on tv would be. Also supports zoom and other apps. The child story mode and the spotlight modes are great.

We don't log in with fb account, we log in using WhatsApp.

One or twice over the years the remote stopped working. Surprisingly it's a known issue and not related to battery. Easiest thing to do is a full factory reset.

Can they put you in Facebook Jail if you mention something Facebook does not agree with and then it is rendered useless?

Why is there so many Facebook trolls on here?

I got one for video call for my kids and my parents. It's nice and easy to use for them. The speaker and music apps are a plus.
Because Facebook is a horrible, unethical toilet of a company.

This may help (just pinch and zoom / turn on manual mode), but unclear if this works in WebEx:
