All webcams are outdated. You'd think they'd update the tech in them at some point in the last 20 years, especially now that so many are working/schooling from home. If they can put MUCH better cameras in a $200 smartphone, and the camera in said phone costs $10, they can make better webcams. Alright. Rant over. šŸ˜‚

I own this. update the firmware yes, but my only issue with it is the lack of left/right swivel. In a multi-monitor setup where I want to shift the angle of view it sucks. i have it on a little joby tripod to assist in positioning.

so kudos for the tripod mount, because without it, i'd have returned this.

Is this good for keeping your pupils constricted, making your eyes more colorful?

These things were 87$ in Walmart and 71$ currently in Walmart. Good price if you have free shipping from Amazon if not you may as well get one from your local Walmart or Gamestop.

Wish the Logitech had the led light as well. That's what this item makes it better atleast in that feature..

Been using this daily on my Mac since start of pandemic for work. No complaints other than that it gets stuck out of focus occasionally but fixed by unplugging/replugging.

I agree with the previous reply that said you can use a much better camera in your cellphone. There are video kits sold for them with ring lights or led lights+microphones which are very reasonably priced and well reviewed ($22 to $36 on the low end) :

https://www.amazon.com/s?i=mobile..._nr_p_72_4

You wouldn't be missing anything while putting the phone on camera duty..

You can use messaging software to link you your phone's sms/texting to windows (that's built into apple<-->apple devices too).. and you can also link your sms/texting to a tablet.. so it's not like you'd be missing texts while using the phone as a camera, and any email client can be on the other device(s) also. The clients also do voice calls.

In41, just an FYI, it's kind of shit on Mac... it will work but there's focus issues and there's no controls since the software (Razer Synapse 3) only runs on Windows...

reviews say the light is pretty useless unless you have no other light in the room.

I just don't think there's much demand for better webcams at the low-mid range. Most folks don't want all their colleagues seeing their face at 4K resolution on a 9AM Zoom meeting. The only group that really wants a high definition webcam are streamers, and they usually go with more expensive high-end camera gear.

This is a ridiculously silly price, but it works good (looking at the exact same webcam on my monitor that was a $14 SD post last year)

Here's the same model for $32
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1

What I paid:in April:
Grand Total:
$14.74
The clamp for the monitor is horrible and you'll be adjusting it constantly

After trying a few webcams over the last year, I settled on using my iPhone as a webcam on PC using the EpocCam Pro app. Works great and much better solution which happens to be also wireless - very satisfied with the quality and results.
