I really want this but not sure I want it enough to replace my Roborock S4.

I'd really like this roller brush combo and auto-empty base, but don't love that it requires a bag. Makes me want the shark base with no bag but it doesn't have the dual brush and I've heard the navigation isn't great (though maybe it's better with a new floor sensor, per VacuumWars youtube reviews)

Yes, it has a bag. However, unless you have horribly shedding dogs/cats, the bag lasts a long time. My last bag lasted over 8 months.

Also, the aftermarket copies of the bags work just fine and can be had for like $10 for 6 bags.

Nice, good insight. Pending how often we run it, I usually have to empty our Roborock (just the vacuum itself) more than 3 times for a full cleaning (assuming more often if the Roomba's brushes do better), so I expect we they won't last us nearly as long. Glad they aren't they expensive though.

We have a GSD/husky. Constantly shedding.

There is ton of unbranded accessories for roomba in Amazon... I just bought a used i7+... then was able to purchase 8 bags, 8 filters, 8 brush etc all together for less then $15. They looks similar quality and works just fine.

As an owner of that Shark vac, skip it. The mapping and app is pure trash. I've had it for over a year and am still trying to have it relearn my 2300sq foot single story house correctly. Their support while responsive is simply copy and paste of scripted answers.

I wish roomba had this model without a bag for emptying, and used lidar for mapping. I believe it only uses camera based navigation unless I'm wrong.

Edit - sorry! Forgot about the coupon!

IMO you are better off skipping the bag models, and the i7

I had 2 from Costco, one lasted 2 months the other last 4.

The bag can cause as many problems as it solves, similar to using a vacuum bag from days gone bye.

Does yours have the floor/distance tracker which points down to the floor? I've heard that can really help, but haven't heard many reviews differentiating the models

The unbranded rubber brushes are definitely inferior to the originals. They tear extremely easily. My brushes lasted over a year, I tried the replacements and they looked worse after a month than my originals did by their end. Same thing with the side brushes, those things were awful. Two different "brands" launched themselves into corners. I just bought OEMs and they're fine. Not sure why they're so much worse, but they were.

Also, keep in mind that the rubber brushes are covered by warranty. If you robot is under warranty, contact them and they'll send you new ones free of charge.

Battery life was only around 20 mins without base to recharge, and when I try running unattended it stops in the middle of my apartment. Seems to be clogging a lot. The dust bin is also extremely tiny. S9 suction is supposed to be 4x stronger, but price point is way too high. I only bought the i7+ at $500 b/c of consumer reports, but now I'm thinking the $100 knockoffs, will be slightly worse, but cheap enough to tolerate tradeoff.
