Prices with EDU are lower:

i5/8/256gb: $487.48
i7/16/512gb: $679.99

Also, these are without trade in and there is currently 10% cash back on Samsung plus an additional 2.5% with gpay.

I'm tempted to jump in on this but I really wish they also offered the free Galaxy buds pro with this model.

I can't seem to find any good comparisons online at all between this and the pro 360 13 inch. The specs seem very similar but I'm nowhere near an expert on this stuff.

From what I gather, the Flex2 has a slightly smaller battery and slower charging but it also has 2 type a ports as well as a type c port, whereas the book 360 13in only has type c ports.

Seems like the flex2 is missing Atmos and has worse speakers at 1.5w vs. 4w on the book 360.

The flex2 is also missing the evo certification but seems to have a brighter QLED screen at 400 nits or 600 in outdoor mode vs a 370 nit AMOLED on the book 360.

This is just from comparing the specs on both, I kinda want one of these but I have no idea what to do, might just buy and do a free return if anything.

edit: price for the i7/16/512gb is now $637.49 w/ edu.

I have 2 i7 Flex Alphas from last year. The only things that don't exceed my usually high expectations are 1) no USB-C charging 2) no 15" screen option.

Edit: the "outdoor mode" brightness is exceptional.

I have the i7 and the battery life is quite unpredictable. Sometimes I get up to 7-8 hours, sometimes only 3 with the same usage. The battery info jumps up and down constantly.

You forget probably the 2 biggest differences:
Flex2 alpha is noticeably thicker and heavier (but is still pretty light as far as 13 inch laptops go) and does not have usb-c charging (a dealbreaker for many).

Do you have the original flex or the 2? Not sure how big of a difference there is between the both of them anyway but I just ordered the flex2 16/512gb and will compare to the book pro 360 with the same config before returning one of them.

My final price for this after cash back and hopefully 10% cancel discount via chat should be $526 so I might keep this just based on the price.

The Pro 360 is the 2-in-1 with touch screen that is comparable to the Flex2. The above posts outline the main differences. The Pro 360 also includes the S Pen.

I bought a couple of the last gen flex alphas as well, and I ended up selling them due to the keyboard being terrible (super shallow and cramped, especially that shift key) and the screens being very wobbly. Other than those things, the fan also ran constantly unless it was on super power saving mode. This was on both units. That part may have changed with the new models and new CPUs but I imagine the keyboard and screen issues are still the same. Some reviews stated that the keyboard was the best they ever used... No idea what they were smoking.

edit: the screen was definitely beautiful, and extremely bright. it actually didn't get dim enough for when you're in a completely dark room at night.

Were you guys able to get your orders through? I've tried to order twice with different cards and got cancelled both times. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
