8-port unmanaged switches are dirt cheap in general, but a reliable one with gigabit ports for under $20 is still a deal.

based on the pricing tool i've seen people use on this site, it is the lowest in past 30 days. posted this b/c my D-link failed and came across this model. hopefully better than the D-link it's replacing. also seems to have been a popular deal earlier in the year

This is the GS308 not the GS108 which is slightly upgraded from the 108. Although it's typically $20, it does retail for close to $30 some places. Main difference is the metal housing and the ability to statically set gigabit or fast ethernet instead of auto-negotiation.

As I just recently updated my home network, and adding a bunch of new ports in a newly built basement (PS5, AppleTV, etc...), these will do nicely!

These switches had uses years ago. These days, if you're doing any (or plan on) network segregation, you really should invest in a basic managed switch that permits vlans. I will no longer buy any dumb switches as they are useless for this purpose.
