Most games aren't 4K 120hz. I would be replacing an Asus vp28uqg. I could use the extra screen real estate, but I would lose my 1ms response time. It's a toss up.

I've been running this as my daily driver for almost 2 years now. It's a great display for the price point. I have the same 32" LG IPS panel next to this VA panel, and while IPS looks appreciably better, the VA remains a terrific value.

32UN500 vs ‎32UL500, not sure if one is better than the other, but you can see spec differences here:

Amazon also has 32UN500 at same price but that is an inferior monitor. That monitor has been created by downgrading 32UL950 Monitor and an entry level 4k monitor at best.
Check the review of this 32UL500 below:

If you care for a height adjustable stand, Amazon also has one on promo $289.99, only $10 higher.

Not going find 4k 120hz at this price. You need hdmi 2.1.

Bought several of these for work. Viewing angles are good enough. Only slight discoloration at an off angle. See the RTINGS review for great details. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re.../32ul500-w

From what I can tell, this is the best 4k 60 monitor you can get at any price unless you absolutely need IPS viewing angles or need a smaller screen. This VA panel has far better blacks and color coverage.

For gaming, get something that handles higher refresh rates. These VA panels have mediocre response times that will look a bit blurry for games, so a 120hz or higher panel will compensate for that. Freesync or Gsync are a must.

That's a 32" 1080p monitor. The pixel density is terrible. I do not recommend that as an alternative to the LG 32UL500-W. Spend the extra money on a monitor mount if the ergonomics are not sufficient. Indeed, the stand on the LG 32UL500-W is not great.

How are these for work? Can you compare sharpness of text with an IPS 27" 4k?

I have an IPS 27" 4k (dells s2720qs i think). It is very good. I use no scaling though so text is a bit small. I think most people scale on 27" but i really hate scaling so thats a no for me.

Anyways i need another 4k monitor for a dual setup. I can either match this one and get another 27" IPS 4K. Or get 32" 4K VA (the IPS ones are too expensive on 32"). Hard to decide which one…32" might be a bit easier on the eyes but less sharper. So not sure how to make this decision haha.

RTINGS loves the refreshed release of your monitor. s2721qs https://www.rtings.com/monitor/to...shold=0.10

That Dell is a great work monitor. The LG 500-w really needs to be calibrated to meet its potential. The Dell is better out of the box. The Dell has far better viewing angles, but I've been doing work on these LG monitors for several days and the viewing angles don't bother me. It's a hard to notice tone shift at the edges of the screen. I like the extra color gamut coverage and volume from the LG. It's sufficiently bright in my room, but the Dell will help you if you're working in the sunlight a bit. The LG has better black levels and contrast, but those aren't necessarily important depending on your work.

I have to scale text on any 4K monitor. Right now I am at 200%. I just scale the text in my applications back down a bit to compensate for it.

I recommend getting a spiderX calibrator for all your monitors. The LG will benefit from it a lot. The dells are usually calibrated a bit better in the factory, but still have a lot of potential to benefit from a calibration.

Specs say it's 4K?
