Home Depot (in at least some areas) has a highly Toshiba 50 pint energy star dehumidifier for $179.00 (normally $229.00, so 22% savings) that is an Energy Star Most Efficient Dehumidifier. I've been searching for a replacement for the one in my basement and this is the best deal I've found (including on here) for a major brand and a better deal than the same sized Frigidaire that is listed in Slickdeals at $205.

*****Others have alerted that this same price from Home Depot is not available in their area**** But if they are in stock at local stores near you, you might want to keep an eye out as this could be the beginning of them getting rid of this model (there is another same size Hitachi at Home Depot that is a newer model as this one).***

At least by me, the $179 one is NOT available for normal "free" shipping, but is available for "scheduled delivery" for $8.99 or for free pickup from store. There are a boatload in stock at stores around here, but I have no idea what happens if there are none in stock near you, so if there are none in stock near you-kindly let others know if it allows free shipping, free ship to store, or whatever the options are. So possibly B&M only.

If you live in Commonwealth Edison's usage area and have them as your electricity supplier, you can get an additional $50 rebate for ANY stand-alone energy star dehumidifier, which makes it a net $129.00.

******YMMV*****If you do NOT live in Commonwealth Edison's service area (IL), you can see if there is a REBATE IN YOUR AREA that you might qualify for by putting your zip code in the rebate finder found here-> https://www.energystar.gov/produc...umidifiers

IF YOU don't need one this large, there is a good deal on a smaller GE unit I also found see ->https://slickdeals.net/f/15253090-ge-22-pint-energy-star-dehumidifier-109-shipped-at-home-depot-less-any-utility-energy-star-rebate-50-comed-net-59-for-some-ymmv-rebate?v=1&src=SiteSearch

Good luck & enjoy

For those giving it a thumbs down, try finding a NEW 50 pint per day unit from a major brand from a legit website for less.

Would be a good price if I could replicate. But in my market (SE PA), they are not on sale for $179.99.

Probably can't replicate the price. My market shows $230. Sorry the threads aren't going as well as you hoped...maybe hd will roll out lower prices to more areas soon.

That explains things. I'll put B&M in title & YMMV.

If they are in stock near you, keep an eye out because I noticed HD has another same size Toshiba that is a slightly newer model for $229, so this could be the beginning of them clearing out the "old" model. According to Brickseek, they are the same price at all the stores in my area, but you never know.

I found one for $179 40 minutes away. Tried chat to get to price match and no luck. Also tried the next day delivery and the price went up to $229. Thanks for posting!
