This was priced just under $400 less than a couple weeks ago. I think this model is being cleared out and is being replaced by the 27UP650 (current $450), which as far as I can tell, the main difference is an updated stand (please correct me in comments if that's not accurate).

It's also the same price on B&H photo:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...k_uhd.html

2 x HDMI 2.0, DP1.4, headphone out, 3-sided bezel-less display, VESA-mountable and color-calibrated from factory. Stand supports tilt, height and rotate. I quite like the bottom power button/joystick control.

The difference between the 27UK850 and 27UP850 is increased typical nits, increased contrast ratio, and most important is increase in power delivery via USB-C to 96W (from 60W) making it enough for the MacBook Pro 15".

This is the best I could come up with when figuring out the LG naming scheme

LG Naming
First Two Numbers - Monitor Size
First Letter - Series Monitor Belongs to (Ultrafine, Wide, Gaming, Business)
Second Letter- Year Released (K=2018 L=2019 N=2020 P=2021)

**Next two items may or may not be in model number**
Letter after series number - F or G (Freesync or G-sync)
Last Letter - W=White or B=Black

Sometimes the series number is 2 numbers, not 3. This denotes business vs consumer monitor. Difference is 1 year warranty vs 3 year warranty otherwise they are the same.

Differences in Ultrafine Series
600 - Non-Adjustable stand no USB-C + USB 3
650 - Adjustable Stand no no USB-C + USB 3
750 - VA Screen instead of IPS, Adjustable Stand, no USB-C + USB 3
850 - Adjustable Stand, USB-C + USB 3, Speakers
950 - Thunderbolt connection instead of USB-C, Speakers
Bought the 32" version a few month ago for the same price on newegg. Call me crazy but i went from a ips 165hz 27" to this and i enjoy my pc and gaming alot more in this than high refresh rate(personal preference)

Not aware of any 3840x2400 monitors, only 2560x1600 and 1920x1200, and those are getting less and less common

This or the Dell S2721QS? I don't see this LG monitor on rtings. Would really appreciate feedback. Thanks.

I'm using both in a dual monitor setup so I can directly compare. Picture quality is similar and they also have the same number of inputs. The Dell has a better stand and also includes speakers, but the LG has better controls and menus. The LG uses an external power supply, which can be bad or good depending how you look at it. Can't really go wrong with either honestly.

Rtings did review the previous model. They are pretty similar except this one adds HDR400 certification, though IPS isn't really isn't that strong with HDR content anyway.

I tried the S2721QS personally and was extremely disappointed. No matter what I did, it just looked lackluster. And 32" is really the sweet spot for 27". Unless you'll be very close to it.

Maybe I got a bad one? No idea, YMMV

Is anyone familiar with the difference in quality between these moderately priced LG monitors and something like Dell Ultrasharp monitors? I've always had U series monitors from Dell (currently two U2715h monitors). I know spec-wise these seem good, but I've heard mixed reviews about color accuracy. I don't mind spending a little more on higher quality monitors but I don't want to spend more just for a nicer badge.

I used to be a fan of Dell U series, since the legendary U2408. But the later 27" ones are too overpriced IMHO.
LG has always been the pioneer of LCD panels, esp IPS ones. I believed they were the first one who made commercial IPS panels and most other manufacturers bought panels from them at that time. So I trust them with their quality.
Regarding color accuracy, I assume you're talking about factory-calibrated level of accuracy, which again, IMHO, doesn't mean that much. If your work requires very accurate color reproduction, you should calibrate your screen by yourself anyway.

Well, I thought that was a 27" monitor, but the product dimension is 24.1" x 9.1" x 22.3", which refers to a 32" diagonal (including the plastic frame).

I think you incorrectly applied Pythagorean theorem, 22.3" is the total (extended) height of the monitor *including the stand*, not the height of the display area
