Deal Instructions
  1. Login to or sign up for your PayPal account
  2. Go to the PayPal Offers page
  3. On the large banner under "Deals and offers", use the side-scrolling arrow button on the right side of the banner to browse through your available deals. Look for the Walmart offer for "Get $10 Off Your Next $50+ Purchase when you pay with PayPal"
  4. Click Save Offer
  5. Go to your PayPal Wallet and confirm the "Walmart $10" offer shows in the Offers section of the sidebar
  6. Proceed to shop at Walmart Website with items of $50 or more
  7. At checkout, proceed to pay with your PayPal payment only
    • You must select PayPal as payment method and will require to click edit then + More if PayPal is not default payment method)
  8. You'll receive an email via PayPal regarding your order and the discount applied to your order
    • Note, order will show up in your PayPal summary page but the discount may not be shown correctly on Walmart Payment page

For those nervous about buying a gift card:

I added the offer to my PayPal account. I received an email confirming the offer was added.

I purchased a $50 plastic WalMart gift card with free mail delivery. I used my Discover card for 5% back. Both PayPal and my Discover card show a $40 charge.

WalMart did not allow me to choose PayPal as payment for an eGift card which is why I chose plastic.

The way this worked for the very similar Target deal (and this Walmart deal...until it was later canceled 🙄) was that the $10 credit appears on the PayPal checkout page, very clearly. PayPal shows it will charge you $40, for example, for the $50 purchase. It's not a credit that will show up later on your PayPal account or CC account.

I saved it to one of my Paypal accounts yesterday and it's still there under Saved Offers, expires on 9/14/21.
If you don't see it in you account, try scrolling Left/Right on the banner at the top of the screen. See attachment.

Thanks but I did not see that paypal offer banner yesterday and just checked again today. I guess I'm not eligible.

They definitely took the banner off deals page but if you saved the offer you can look in your Wallet and still see the $10 saved. That's why it's important to always save the offer when you see it, they won't remove it from your wallet but once it's gone from the deals page you can't save it anymore.

Is there a choice?
I didn't know. The last time I ordered physical gift cards they were stolen by a FedEx employee, but FedEx did refund.
Mine has a label created yesterday afternoon, but no movement even though FedEx is still optimistically saying it will be delivered tonight. I doubt that will happen especially given the rough weather that went through yesterday afternoon and evening.

I ordered two physical Walmart $50 GCs yesterday (9/1). FedEx tracking shows they should be delivered by end of Friday 9/3. I'm in Kansas, the cards are coming from Loveland, CO. Not picked up yet by FedEx though.
Ordered another one this morning, estimated arrival date is 9/9.
