Seems kinda pricey still for what you're getting but was a $700 monitor.

Not a bad price for this, the stands for Dell have always been great (height adjustment being missing from a lot of other monitors) and definitely cheaper than when I got my ultrawide a couple of years ago (closer to $700 for the AW3418)

Its the normal price for the comparable ASUS that rtings likes fairly equally:

Now you can find monitors in this class selling in the low $300s
Right now you can buy a 120hz 34 VA from monoprice for $320.

Monoprice's DM 144hz 34 was on sale for $330 a few months ago:

If you want IPS in this price range you need to stick with 27inch 16:9 1440p monitors.
If you want to save up, the IPS ultrawides are ~$700.
This strikes me as an odd price point.

The negative is that it isnt curved. I use a non curved 40 inch tv as a 4k monitor and it is OK, but I would sit closer to a 34 and might want a curve. (I scale 125% on the 4k)
I'm glad to see a lower price IPS fast ultrawide hit the market!
