I was hoping to find a Labor Day deal on some Patagonia mussels, since I recently tried their sofrito mussels and loved them. I came across a 20% off code, that still didn't get them down to a justifiable price-point. So, I went hunting on Reddit, and found a code, devoid of context, for 40% off: 40SPECIAL.

Since I do not have context for the code, I don't know how long it lasts. I do know that I successfully placed an order with it a few minutes ago. It got the 10-packs of mussels down to around $3.83/tin or something like that. I ordered mussels, mackerel, and salmon, and wanted to share the wealth.

The mussels are less tightly packed, and thus more tender than any other tinned mussels I've had. So, I'm looking forward to trying the mackerel, and the salmon.

Hope this is helpful for others!

They're very good. So good that I found this deal. I had them a few weeks ago for the first time, after catching the last tin on sale at a Whole Foods. I've been actively searching for deals every other day since then. I hoped Labor Day might yield a sale, but it turned out there was already a code lurking online.

I enjoyed tinned fish, so, I always keep some around. These mussels are the best I've had.

Also, for folks shocked at the pricing, I'm with you. Here's a snippet from a blog post on their site (in the OP) called "Why food?" describing their approach:

"…Regenerative organic farming practices yield large crops while building healthier soil, which can draw down and store more greenhouse gases. Free-roaming buffalo restore prairie grasslands, one of Earth's great carbon storage systems. Rope-cultivated mussels produce delicious protein while cleaning the water where they're grown. Place-based and selective-harvest fishing techniques allow us to target truly sustainable fish populations without harming less abundant species. As these examples illustrate, the more we roll up our sleeves and dig into the world of food, the more we discover that the best ways are often the old…"

Just got my sampler kit and all meals have a use-by date at least a year out. Except for the Apple one. For some reason that expires in 2 months, so I guess I know what I'm making for breakfast

Wow, hats off. Best canned anchovies I've ever had.
