I can say that they don't have aptX low latency; there /is/ a delay in the bluetooth audio. I use a separate/external bluetooth receiver (that has aptX LL) with mine to get around the delay (or more precisely, lower the delay to a point where I mostly don't notice it).
How do you get a receiver like that?

How does one replace the batteries? My old pair is still solid and I use it for hours everyday, but battery capacity is down to 50% of where it used to be.

You find one that supports the bluetooth version/features that you want, and then connect it with a little audio cable to the audio-in jack on the headphones.

I use this receiver (not available anymore unfortunately; I want a couple of spares, sigh):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M9I0LSK/
and then stick it on the side of the headphones with velcro and use this cable to connect it:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QLFNKTF

Yes, it's not ideal, but at this point I'm pretty attached to the QC-35 II comfort and ANC, and attached to the low-latency aptX of the external receiver, so I'm good with it.

I got a 700 on sale but the lag was too much so returned it.

Thanks for info. If QC-45 has aptX, it would be an instant buy assuming the mic is ok
