Saw these Genesis II grills on closeout in a local Lowes. Obvioulsy YMMV, but maybe you'll get lucky. They had a black model for $959 and a stainless model for $974 available. Links for reference only.

They are down to 899.17 at some locations around the US. I've been waiting for this to go on clearance to buy it for my parents, but personally, I'm still going to wait until it gets lower

My lowes had the display model of the s-435 for $970. Ended up not going for it though since the pre assembled grill doesn't fit in my vehicle and being a display model is a little iffy as far as missing / non working parts.

just so you know. the weber warranty is valid for display models. last season i picked up a four burner floor model that was missing probably $250 worth of parts that weber was so kind to send to me when i told them they were missing from my grill. i gave them the serial number and they even asked if it was a floor model. i told them yes and they still sent me the parts.
