Feb is a long time away from now. If you can wait till then I'd question if you even need/want an iPad at all. Whatever the new Air revision is though, there are no rumors of anything too exciting since it has to not outshine the Pros. Although there are rumors of an OLED display.

I got it for 450 from Costco. Wondering if OLED would be that much better on a small display

I've got a 256 M1 Pro and have used 40GB total....

Plus, as others said, iCloud. It's cheap. And I have enough devices the paid is easily worth it.

100% agree with you, I have a 2tb iMac m1 that I use less than 100gb of, and a MacBook Air m1 that I used 80gb of, but if im buying an iPad, I want to be able to download movies/shows for road trips. ie, no internet. that's it really.

otherwise it'll sit on next to my iMac as a 2nd screen displaying stocks I watch (I day trade for a job) lol. 1000 dollars for a stupid stock display. but I love apple
