I'm pretty sure this is normal price for this racket. Note that this is the v11 of the Pro Staff racket, while the current one out now is v13, which probably explains the lower price point.

This is actually the clearance price for the racquet
And it coincides with Wilson raising the price for the v13 racquets by $50 this month
So I imagine Wilson is clearing these v11s out so that people are forced to buy only the v13 new
For anyone curious, the major differences between this racquet on sale (v11) and the current gen (v13) that's $279 are:
1. updated paint job on v13
2. string design slightly more dense around sweet spot on v13
3. graphite change for ball pocketing/feel
4. different butt cap (sharper on v11 and rounder on v13)
All other specs (weight, stiffness, etc.) are the same
Thanks for this deal.. I just got back into tennis this summer and needed to upgrade a 15 year old racquet.
From reading reviews and researching, I added the Luxilon ALU Power Soft strings (under Best of the Rest! category) at 55 lbs
Polys are strung at -5-10 lbs than regular strings. I know it is a personal preference but something to keep in mind. Otherwise feels like playing with a wooden stick

Thanks for the suggestion, just requested to lower down to 48
Thanks, OP! Just got a pair. I demoed the v13 and really like the head speed, especially on serve. Good feel, moderate power and spin. For $130, figures I'd roll the dice on the older model. I'm a 4.0+ player
Has been many years since I played or picked up a racquet... just starting up again.
Any reommendation on string type? I'd likely play 1x/month at best. I was probably at a 4.0 level 15 years ago. Game is more defensive than offensive and certainly not a power player. Able to cover court well and favor slicing over topspin.

PS. Remember that your local tennis store may price match in case you want to potentially by local.

Not really. String had big evolution

Any suggestions for the strings? Thanks
