Looks like this is the video.

Latest Project Farm video comparing water filter like Brita, ZeroWater, PUR, Berkey, Aquaphor, AquaTrue, RV Filter, Lifestraw, Survivor Filter Pro, etc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja0ioX6GSz0

It did TDS test and Iron/Ph test using test strip. It also open up all the filter to see what's inside those filter.

Conclusion from the video....
If you're looking for a water filter that's going to do a good job of cleaning up the water leaving the minerals alone but taking out some of the impurities the, Aquaphor seems like a great option
ZeroWater did a great job of cleaning up the water, removing the impurities including the iron.
And finally I really like the reverse osmosis that's offered by the AquaTrue, it does a great job.

Tap Water (Total Dissolved Solids)
| ppm (part per million/milligrams per liter (mg/L))
ZeroWater | 0
AquaTru | 36
Survivor Filter Pro | 231
Aquaphor | 233
Brita | 234
Homemade | 237
Frizzlife | 253
Sawyer | 256
Untreated Water(baseline) | 259
Lifestraw | 259
PUR | 260
RV Filter | 267
Berkey | 284

Iron
| (ml/L))
ZeroWater | 0
AquaTru | 0
Aquaphor | 10
Brita | 50
Frizzlife | 50
Berkey | 50
Sawyer | 100
PUR | 100
Lifestraw | 100
RV Filter | 250
Survivor Filter Pro | 250
Homemade | 500

This filter recently kicked serious butt in a truly independent head to head testing by ProjectFarm on Youtube.

Britta / all the others sucked compared to this.

if I didn't have a fully installed RO system i'd buy this plus all the other accoutrements.

I have been using Pur for the last 7 years and have been happy with the quality and taste of the water. But due to the recent supply issues of Pur water filters, I am forced to switch to another brand. I have been looking at videos and reading some reviews around various places and ZeroWater is mostly positive. Out of all the options I decided to go with them due to Lead filtration which has been an issue in my area in the past.

It make sense since filter is only that big and it can only hold so much filtered stuff inside. So once it fill up, it no longer works well.

If you look at how much stuff filtered from the Project Farm video, it make sense ZeroWater filter likely only last for short time and need to replace very often.

Yeah but unlike a traditional filter, this contains three times the material of just a standard activated carbon filter. That is why it's able to get the pollutants in the water down to zero. So do you want a water filter that lasts for 70 gallons of perfectly filtered water, or do you want a filter that lasts twice as long but never filters the water anywhere near zero parts per million?

I'll take a smaller shelf life with far better results.

This out performs $200+ under sink systems, that says a lot.

What's the shelf life on aero water filters sitting in a closet? I believe I have 10-12 sitting there

I've been using zerowater for several years. The filter really does remove the impurities. I've never really measure how many gallons I get per filter but I average needing a new filter every 3-4 months. When you start getting a lemony-taste, it's time for a new filter. For me, that's a reading of about 500 on the meter.

I lived along the Georgia coast for a few years, and zero water was the only pitcher filter that could remove the sulfury swamp/marsh taste from the water. The cheapest filters I could find were the 6 pack at Target for ~$10 each. This is a great price.

What is going on, all of a sudden it is slashing prices... is the company going under or someone is flooding the market with fakes? We are supposed to be under a supply chain crunch.

Yes, the ZeroWater filter is basically the DI portion of an RO/DI filter. As the majorty of their filter is just DI resin, as seen from PF when he opened it up.

But without the RO to prefilter the contaminants down to ~10tds, the DI resin in the ZeroWater will just get saturated very fast.

If you have need to filter large quantities of water to 0 tds, and can install then get an RO/DI filter.

It also matters what quality the water is going in. Bad tap water or other water going in will burn filters quick.
