Looks like this is the video.

Latest Project Farm video comparing water filter like Brita, ZeroWater, PUR, Berkey, Aquaphor, AquaTrue, RV Filter, Lifestraw, Survivor Filter Pro, etc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja0ioX6GSz0

It did TDS test and Iron/Ph test using test strip. It also open up all the filter to see what's inside those filter.

Conclusion from the video....
If you're looking for a water filter that's going to do a good job of cleaning up the water leaving the minerals alone but taking out some of the impurities the, Aquaphor seems like a great option
ZeroWater did a great job of cleaning up the water, removing the impurities including the iron.
And finally I really like the reverse osmosis that's offered by the AquaTrue, it does a great job.

Tap Water (Total Dissolved Solids)
| ppm (part per million/milligrams per liter (mg/L))
ZeroWater | 0
AquaTru | 36
Survivor Filter Pro | 231
Aquaphor | 233
Brita | 234
Homemade | 237
Frizzlife | 253
Sawyer | 256
Untreated Water(baseline) | 259
Lifestraw | 259
PUR | 260
RV Filter | 267
Berkey | 284

Iron
| (ml/L))
ZeroWater | 0
AquaTru | 0
Aquaphor | 10
Brita | 50
Frizzlife | 50
Berkey | 50
Sawyer | 100
PUR | 100
Lifestraw | 100
RV Filter | 250
Survivor Filter Pro | 250
Homemade | 500

This filter recently kicked serious butt in a truly independent head to head testing by ProjectFarm on Youtube.

Britta / all the others sucked compared to this.

if I didn't have a fully installed RO system i'd buy this plus all the other accoutrements.

If you look at the reviews on Amazon, it seems like it has a really short useful life. Something like 70 gallons. Then it essentially stops functioning, unlike a traditional filter

If water in your area has high particulate matter, don't bother with ZeroWater. It's great in low particulate areas and will last enough to feel like you're getting your money's worth, but in a high particulate area (e.g. high calcium in your water), you'll just burn through the filter in about a week, which is well beyond the price point of bottled water that's already filtered.

Yes, they are great filters, but only worth it as a solution if your water isn't that saturated with stuff to begin with.

It also matters what quality the water is going in. Bad tap water or other water going in will burn filters quick.

Funny story on that. I was looking at 4x10 inch sediment filter replacements for my whole house setup on well water. A lot of reviews complain that the some filters gets noticeably dirty quickly. Yeah, it's doing its job... you have crappy water. On those it comes down to flow. Replace when flow is reduced.

This is a really good deal. We've been using these for years and I watch out for sales to stock up. I bought a six pack recently and the price per filter was about $8, so I went ahead and got a few more to pack away for later. They're well packaged so I'm not worried about them going bad or anything. Thanks for posting!

I've used the zero filter on/off the past few years. My filters keep clogging and it'll take an entire day to filter 2 gallons or how ever big the container is. I try every trick to get the air pockets out but they always clog for me. And my tap water isn't too bad either. Def going to watch that project farm video tho, I love that guy. Great reviews

People's filter fills up with gunk and they blame the filters for slow flow...Don't use the filter if you're going to complain about it doing its job.

I have been using Pur for the last 7 years and have been happy with the quality and taste of the water. But due to the recent supply issues of Pur water filters, I am forced to switch to another brand. I have been looking at videos and reading some reviews around various places and ZeroWater is mostly positive. Out of all the options I decided to go with them due to Lead filtration which has been an issue in my area in the past.
Funny because I actually have a lot of PUR water filters for their sink and pitcher but have stopped using PUR. I guess I might have to pay Ebay a visit.

I'm ok with Zero water. In fact I'm ok with most filter systems as I've seen how bottled water companies do their bottling and have stopped paying for bottled water for the house.

My concern is that water contains alot of beneficial trace elements as well and it seems that zerowater also filters those out too.

Per wirecutter "ZeroWater's most prominent claim is that its filters remove 100% of "total dissolved solids" in water—basically, minerals. Tests we conducted in 2016 confirmed that claim—but it's not necessarily a good thing. According to the World Health Organization (PDF), higher TDS in drinking water is associated with lower incidence of cancer and heart disease, and, as the WHO says, "Water with extremely low concentrations of TDS may also be unacceptable because of its flat, insipid taste.""

what does everyone think of the above?

There are pro/con for both which you can probably google for it.
That's why you can buy both purified water and distilled water (plus sprint water, etc) in supermarket. Pretty much depend on your "taste" and your believe.

Great price. I hope it's not a clear-out in preparation for a new and improved version.

I live in an area now with great water and get a long life out of these (6-12 months). I don't change them when the meter is 10, but before that when the water starts to smell. Eventually, there may be some trapped sludge or something else that could be our own usage-hygiene too.

ZW is great water. Funny story: My mother actually bought one for me years ago. During a phone call a few months later, she mentioned that she loves it and uses it for watering her garden flowers, when boiling water for pasta, etc. I asked if she ever checked the water with her meter. After she tested it for the first time it registered the same as her tap water of course. She must have used it for hundreds of gallons.

Great video, really feel like I'm wasting money buying Brita filters.
