Yes. They have connection points on the top that both secure a matching Jamo atmos up firing speaker in place, and they carry the audio signal as well. They're "ready" for the atmos speaker.
This is mentioned every time these speakers are posted and i distracts from actual discussion about the product. I dont care about atmos at this price. Can any one say anything about the quality of the speakers for the $109 price point? These are very inexpensive if they compare well against our favorite Sony or Klipsch bookshelf speakers.

Sound is very subjective. These have a slightly "U" shaped sound. Tipped up bass and tipped up treble. If you typically turn up the bass and treble on your audio devices, you might like them. If you want a detailed "opinion" of their sound, check out "cheap audio man" on YouTube (I think that's his name). He really liked them. I think Andrew Robinson (on YouTube) also have this line of speakers (if not this model) really high marks. I tried those cheap Sony cs5 speakers and didn't like them at all. I suspect I'd like these.

I use them as my PC desktop speakers and love them. They have a great soundstage, and decent low end that is sufficient for most music listening. Though for games, movies and base heavy music, I still recommend adding a sub (I did). They do have a bit of a smiley face shaped sound, which most people prefer, but if you're after neutral monitor type sound, these aren't it.
These bookshelf speakers are awful. Bought the Jamo set, but ended up replacing these with some Infinity Reference. These aren't worth $109 by a longshot.
