Jesus have a heart.
Edit: My roommate was an electronics department manager and can almost assure you that they're being held and brickseek isn't bugging out (within a single unit for display).

I went down there, the lady I know in the department is a good worker. She punched in the upc into their handheld scanner/stock checker thingy, and it showed 0.
I refreshed brickseek on the phone and still said 4 or 5.
I haven't had any luck with my local Walmart having items. Sometimes it is employees being lazy or hiding items for themselves or friends, that's not always the case.

Most Walmart employees will not put any effort in looking for anything much less something that is not in plain sight , keep this in mind when you expect them to go beyond that.
I got 3 walmarts with "3-4 in stock" within 20 miles but they are going in opposite directions. Too far to take the drive and spend the time.

Shows in stock 2-3 about 12 miles away.
Took a chance - drove there.
Helpful (!) clerk looks up SKU - no luck.
Looks up UPC- bingo - shows one in stock.
Looks through cages - no joy.
Looks in back - woohoo.
So - thanks to op for this thread.
