I've not had good luck lately either. I think Brickseek is just busted these days
Good buys here ...if you can find them at your local store
I typically dont do well at the Walmart YMMV deals though
When I tried looking few weeks ago one of the locations showing in stock 3 of them turned out to have different variant with newer CPU but price was $650 because they combined multiple SKUs under same product or something like that, so ones shown in stock were not the ones in clearance but brickseek was seeing them as such.

Damn. Looked at every Walmart from around my city and every city on the way to my moms that I'm visiting tomorrow. No luck.. Anyone with rep want to snag me that 14.1 laptop for like 80 or so 90 shipped 😬

Average Walmart worker makes 12/hour. So what if they make some on the side. May have a huge impact on their life. Calling someone a scumbag because you won't save a few bucks on a computer....what does that say about you.
Jesus have a heart.
Walmart employees have no rights to hold deals for themselves regardless of annual wages. I know for a fact they have to clock out to buy anything and are not allowed to hold anything for themselves. If you're working that day it just summed up to bad luck. "A few bucks"? The MSI laptop is $700 off.

Edit: My roommate was an electronics department manager and can almost assure you that they're being held and brickseek isn't bugging out (within a single unit for display).

Obviously this is true. But what can you do? I usually tell them, I just want or two if possible, you can have whatever left. Doesn't work, but I try my best. I'm not a reseller, just like cheap electronics deals lol

Brickseek showed my local store having 4 or 5 of one of the desktop bundles at the clearance price.
I went down there, the lady I know in the department is a good worker. She punched in the upc into their handheld scanner/stock checker thingy, and it showed 0.
I refreshed brickseek on the phone and still said 4 or 5.

I haven't had any luck with my local Walmart having items. Sometimes it is employees being lazy or hiding items for themselves or friends, that's not always the case.

Do not trust the brickseek. Especially Walmart tracker.

these walmart employees have the leverage to be lazy nowadays. they wont even bother to check the stock room anymore & claiming that they dont stock electronics on the stock room at the back.

Yes. Same in here brickseek showed 5 after had employees scanned it and showed "0". Brickseek is completely not accurate.

Most Walmart employees will not put any effort in looking for anything much less something that is not in plain sight , keep this in mind when you expect them to go beyond that.
So what do you ask for? Them to look up the SKU? Or just pretend like I don't know like "Well it's a prebuilt PC with an i3 processor"? How do you ask for something that doesn't show on the web store without revealing your play? I have a couple nearby stores showing in stock so I'm going to give it a go while I'm out tomorrow but I feel like I'm too socially awkward for this cloak and dagger lol.

Biggest problem here is not brickseek but finding a Walmart person who cares enough to go look in the back. Most will tell you there is nothing in the back and that's it. Only a few will put in the time and effort to actually go look for it....

I solemnly swear never to put trust in Brickseek inventory numbers, or waste time looking for a deal in a Walmart again.

I have like a 3% success rate when it comes to Walmart brickseek stock inventory. Wasted too much time and gas. I hate the drive of shame coming back home after a failed deal. I could use a HP i3 desktop as my desktop is almost 6 years old (still works fine) but 12 miles and 22 minute drive to that Walmart that was wrong about the Samsung Galaxy watch deal in the past. 44 minutes of driving and walking empty handed? Ehhh. Pass.. When it comes to Lowe's and Home Depot, brickseek is far more accurate.

I got 3 walmarts with "3-4 in stock" within 20 miles but they are going in opposite directions. Too far to take the drive and spend the time.

$45.00 Gateway 14.1" Ultra Slim Notebook

Shows in stock 2-3 about 12 miles away.
Took a chance - drove there.
Helpful (!) clerk looks up SKU - no luck.
Looks up UPC- bingo - shows one in stock.
Looks through cages - no joy.
Looks in back - woohoo.

So - thanks to op for this thread.
this is good info. I didn't even know there was a difference between SKU and UPC! I'm not sure which the employee searched at my store, but perhaps the other would have turned up a result.
