I have this monitor and it's amazing! The integrated dock really makes it easy to switch between a laptop and desktop.

Do you have to scale the display for text and applications or is 100% a comfortable size for viewing?

Its 100% comfortable as is. Very happy with the monitor.

Its a fantastic productivity monitor, but not a great gaming monitor if you want to play at more than 60 fps.

Man they must be making a killing on these panels. I bet manufacturing is not very different than a 4K monitor but premium they demand is huge.

I would love to have one of these but too expensive.

FWIW I have a 49" Dell, 5120x1440 and I love it. It's essentially two 27" 1440p side by side. Paid $600 used off CL. It is connected to my home and work computer and I use Microsoft Garage power toys to share keyboard and mouse seamlessly between two computers. Nice work from home set up. I also have a KVM that I can switch both sides to home PC after work using just one button.

Note that 300 brightness is not great for bright rooms nor is it good for HDR content or wide color gamut. I would like to see a brighter panel to take advantage of otherwise outstanding features.

It's nice to see industry slowly raise the resolution of ultrawide monitors from 2K to 4K. Keep in mind from 2K to 4K you will need at least twice gpu power at the same fresh rate. I'm happy with my aw3418dw now only limited by it's native resolution for 4K movies. In 2-3 years we should be able to nail one 4k resolution IPS ultrawide high fresh rate gaming monitor that is also perfect for 4k movies. Or, by the time VR headset might be able to offer that resolution as well.

Lolol fair question, my neck is alright - def feels excessive at times, but that extra room off to the sides helps with WFH productivity (compared to a double 32" 4K setup).

Really great specs, but retire 60hz FFS! Even for office work it's noticeably slow. 90hz would be a good minimum refresh to target.
