The Samsung QN90A has one HDMI 2.1 port for VRR, ALLM, and 4K 120. This TV doesn't support Dolby Vision which most content providers are utilizing for their content. A lot of 4K Blu Rays support Dolby Vision as well. Xbox is supposedly going to utilize Dolby Vision for their games in the future. I read online that the other HDMI ports support 4K 120 without HDR, but I don't know how true that is.

The LG OLED 65" offers Dolby Vision, and 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs among other things. The LG OLED A series is limited to 4K60, and it has 3 HDMI 2.0 inputs. The LG OLED B series has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, and the C series/G Series has 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs. HDMI 2.1 is mostly important if you want to utilize those features for gaming.

I currently have the LG CX 77", and I ordered the QN90A 65" to test it out. I don't know if you truly need VRR for console gaming. I own the Xbox Series X and PS5, and I never noticed screen tearing. I mainly played games at 4K 60 on my older Sony 4K, and gaming felt fine. We can chat more about it if you like, but OLEDs and QLEDs appeal to different markets. If you want pure blacks without blooming and the extra gaming features, go with the LG OLED. If you want higher brightness that will make HDR content pop, go with the QN90A. Lastly, with the QN90A you don't have to worry about burn in. It's ideal if you play the same game all of the time or view the same type of content.

If you order this, don't forget the cancel trick to save an additional $100. After you place your order, attempt to cancel it. Select delivery issue or whatever the option is, and it should offer you a discount. I missed the cancellation window, and I chatted with CS so they could apply the $100 refund to my order. Good luck!

I've been at the research game for a while as well too and use RTINGS. I was suckered into buying the Vizio Quantum X, considering at the time it was the highest rated quantum LED before they "revised" their scores across the board. Well, RTINGS doesn't put a major focus on blooming and that TV had insanely aggressive blooming around subtitles. It was incredibly distracting. I found it peculiar that RTINGS did discuss blooming on the Vizio, but didn't make a major fuss about it and yet, it is not one of my most important things to look for in a TV. I am of the mindset that there is no TV without aggressive subtitle blooming except OLEDs now and honestly, I keep looking at all the new LED tv reviews on RTINGS and it's a never ending game of bloom city. Mini LED should have penetrated the market more. I recently returned from a 4 month RTINGS sabbatical and I see all these new TVs but just rebranded from last years models.

Does anyone know anything about "Samsung Access for TV" or have used it before?

Samsung seems to only have a 1 year warranty, but I believe before adding to cart, the website presents a few options for people to add something called "Samsung Access for TV" seemingly for free, which includes, but isn't limited to:
Samsung Care+ is included, protects your TV for any electrical or mechanical breakdowns for 3 years
more info about it here: https://www.samsung.com/us/shop/access/tv/

I looked into this a little bit, but not in too much detail. It looks to be you sign up for financing via samsung/TD Bank, and pay a monthly amount over 36 months totaling the cost of the tv $44.44 x 36 months). By doing so you get this samsung access for free. The monthly amount comes out to be the same cost at $1,599 which is interesting to me (often something paid in monthly installments tend to come out to be more expensive, but not in this case). A credit check/pull will happen, since it is financed, but seems like a good deal for the added warranty. I just don't know what samsung gets out of this, by essentially giving you 0% apr and 3 year extended warranty for no added cost to the buyer.

Perfectly said, a lot of people will go the OLED route BUT I mainly picked QN90A over OLED is because of the burn-in issue. Wifey really wants to use this TV as a Photo frame as well which means it's going to stay on a lot during the day.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I've done a lot of research, and I'm more than happy to help out. It's all about use case. If you want a TV that you can leave on and not worry about it, the QN90A or other QLED/LED is the way to go.

If you miss the initial cancel window you can wait until a couple days after it ships and the "Return" button appears. It will offer the discount before you confirm the return.

Considering I have two OLED's and am buying a QN90a I disagree. They have different use cases.

It's not super clear, some theorize it only shows up once a year (this isn't me trolling) sometimes you can reach out to CS to adjust it. It's all over the place.
