However, at this price and these features, you're going to be giving up something, and my guess it that something is "durability". I no longer buy low end laptops for family members from any brand, because they tend not to last too long without something breaking, which is usually proprietary and not worth fixing. This is going to be cheaply made and easily damaged, and if you're absolutely stuck and can't afford more right now, sure, go for it, with the assumption that in 2 or 3 years you'll need to replace it; not because it's obsolete but because it's cheaper to replace than fix.

* ideapad3 pentium gold and HP i3 10th gen , added 8G ram (total is 12G),for school
* ideapad3 pentium gold for replacing old Thinkpad i3-3120M. this is my desk-laptop( external 4K mon, BT key/mouse), added 16G ram for total 20G :-)
ideapad3 was $150
HP i3 10th gen was $200
8GRam was $30-40 each
16G Ram new was $55-60 each
no way, my thinkpad i3-3120M with 8G ddr3 is very slow compared with ideapad pentium gold after adding extra RAM

It is not at all comparable to the Zen 2 Ryzens, which are manufactured on TSMC's 7nm process, and roundly beat Intel's CPUs from 2020, with similar performance to Intel's latest (manufactured on Intel 10nm, which is about equivalent to TSMC 7nm).
Zen 3 is rolling out now (also on TSMC 7nm), Zen 4 (TSMC 5nm) is scheduled for next year. So this lower-end Zen+ model is being squeezed out of the market. They need to clear their inventory of any products which use it before they becomes practically worthless.
