Seems like a pretty solid deal for a 15 inch laptop in the price range and none of the usual weaknesses. Usually either the screen or no USB-C PD are a fatal flaw but this seems to have everything you'd want for a mid-tier laptop.

Does it have brightness >=300 nits?
Its 250 but that's fine for 90% of people. Also, this deal is out of stock unfortunately
Looked at that HP - It also has the silver keyboard/lettering issue with legibility that can be very annoying
And battery design issues leaving you with a brick after a year of use.

Yup this seems serious good catch.

Tip: If you use this mainly as a desktop (which most users will given the size), then set the battery to "conservation mode" in the Lenovo Vantage app. This will keep the battery between 55 and 60% and greatly reduce battery degradation, compared with keeping it at 100% all the time. Even 60% is enough for about 5 hours of real-world use on my Ryzen 5700U version.
Are the hinge issues for this Lenovo or the HP that has also been discussed here?
N/M, I saw the reviews on this Lenovo talking about hinge problems, thanks for the heads up. Too bad, this pretty much is what I was looking for.
I need a laptop for my kid to use both in school and as a DAW and I haven't found anything comparable in price/features to this one.
