Sounds to me like I'm losing 250 points which is equal to $2.5, technically I'm only gaining $7.50 from the promotion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.

What vernilsa should of said was after you get the deal, unlink your rewards points from your Amazon account. The link mostly focuses on the fraud of having them linked. I went through this and it's much harder to get your points back than just getting a fraudulent charge deleted from your account. It took me 8 mo's to get my points back and amazon kept claiming my email was hacked. My email wasn't and all the fraud happened on their end which they wouldn't admit to initially.

I have 1 point available on each of my registered chase cards. I'm eligible but when I checkout, it says Account has zero points balance available???

I tried many times, if I use .01 in points, it only takes off .01 cents from the purchase, not the whole $10. Maybe others are having better luck than me but I know what I'm saying about my points.
