Not sure how many of you stay in hotels often, but many wall outlets have a hard time holding onto even the small Apple charger. I can't imagine having a full-blown battery trying to hang in there. Just something to keep in mind if you travel a lot.🙂

I actually travel for a living, and I don't recall using any of the wall outlets at all because the plugs on the desk/nightstand lamp are more than enough for all my things that needed to be charged. But I can see it's definitely not going to hang in the airplane outlet.

Looks the same to me. I thought that one (link) charged at 15W max instead of 30W, but looks like the title thread there was mistaken.

These retail prices and discounts are a big turd. This product just came out with no reviews and its already "discounted" more than 50%. A 30w non gan charger is about 12$ and 5000 mah battery is around 10$. You combine both in the same housing and it should be a bit cheaper. I'd wait for the sub 20$ price point or one that has gan.

This is false advertising. Amazon page shows charging iphone and macbook simultaneously. Macbook air gets 45W charger, how come this 30W will charge macbook and phone together !? Will be slow as sloth

Will this charge your device and the back up battery and in the event of a power outage will it switch over to the battery back up like a UPS back up?
I have found that this other battery product works like you're expecting. I use them to with my simplisafe cameras to provide uninterrupted power. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZS3WYZY

I'm on the fence if this is a good idea or not. I feel like I'd probably want to carry just a battery when needed and only find this convenient when I'm traveling. But I'm going to give it a try.

Can it do thru charge while charging the battery and what's the max charging wattage if use both USB ports? Can' find any info on the product page and 0 review..
I can't swear that this applies to this version, but I have the 10,000mAh 20w version (https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Powe...8GKL41V4/) and your first question is answered on the Amazon page for it:
Quote :
It will prioritize your phone 1st at max current (up to 20W which is 4 Amps at 5 Volts) and any remaining charging current left will charge the internals. So if you are charging a smaller phone (10 Watts) it will charge both, if you are charging a larger device like a tablet which can use 20W of power via USB-C it will charge that first then the battery. At least that is what I remember from the literature.
The USB-C port on this charger is rated for 30W (15V*2A) and the USB-A port is 12W (5V*2.4A). I would assume the outputs on these can both operate at full capacity when connected to the wall. May differ when disconnected.

Can't confirm a lot of this, because it's hard to find specific details for this model (A1622). Anker doesn't even have it on their website, they only have the A1621 and A1624:

I see now it's for having people post false positive reviews. https://www.tomsguide.com/news/am...-beginning

Thanks a lot for putting these up mate! And exactly, I can't find any on Anker website either.
Plus typically for chargers at least it will specify if the brick can max out charging power for both while using simultaneously, dunno if this can really output 42W. But it makes sense to charge phone first then bank.
Thanks again
