This will work on the Google Home and Nest app, but I believe all the new ones will only work on Google Home. At some point all the cameras will likely be accessible on Google Home only. I hope that doesn't happen for a long while.

That is true. But the big thing to note is the new one ONLY works with google home app. Not the nest app. Which seems like it would be an issue if you already have older cams. You'd have to switch to google home app exclusively for camera feeds.

Which is ridiculous because they still don't even offer support for nest secure in google home app.
