Using D batteries as a "power bank" to charge your phone will get very expensive very quickly

Is lithium ion leaving traditional battery companies behind? When I saw this, I was expecting Energizer to have pivoted to rechargeable as well.

Using D cells to power this is so stupid. These companies are stuck in the past. Deal killer imo.

Could this be hacked to run on a smartphone battery bank which is also capable of charging your smartphone?

This is capitalism at its worst. Willing to make an inferior product, that takes an extra toll on the environment, just to boost profits.

I just lost a lot of respect for Energizer.

The suboos light that's been on here is way better. Smaller, rechargeable, and removable 18650s

D batteries??? Wtf? And by the way, these lanterns with multiple light modes but only one button are incredibly annoying when you're trying to turn on nightlight mode in a tent and end up blinding everyone
